SAFE, FLEXIBLE CONTROL SOLUTIONS

Within laboratories, fume hoods are a primary source or protection.  Fume hood face velocity measurements are often used to gauge the performance of a fume hood’s ability to contain and exhaust harmful vapors. 

FUME HOOD AIR FLOW MONITORS 

TSI’s accurate, direct measurement of critical safety parameters, like face velocity, is a superior method of ensuring the safest fume hoods possible. TSI’s Fume Hood Monitors directly measure the velocity of air coming into a fume hood, making certain that fume hoods have adequate containment and ventilation. If the velocity drops below a set level, audible and visual alarms provide an indication of potentially unsafe conditions. 

FUME HOOD CONTROLLERS 

In addition to safety, another benefit of properly designed laboratory controls is energy savings. Fume Hood Controls are designed to safely reduce the exhausted air volumes from fume hoods, minimizing the cost of conditioning air supplied to laboratories. TSI’s Fume Hood Controllers are flexible, measuring air velocity or sash opening and controlling either a venturi valve or a damper to maintain constant face velocity at various sash openings.
